The City of Dublin is proud of its biggest asset: the companies and employees that call our community home. That’s why we want to hear from YOU!  Share a #WhyDublin video story via ThankView below and be ENTERED TO WIN one of more than 100 gift cards to favorite Dublin restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, hotels, and more! In the process, you’ll help support the home-grown, small businesses who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. Winners will be chosen at random and announced on March 19. Entries must include employees of a company located in the City of Dublin.
 
Videos are quick and easy to record from your laptop or mobile device. Below are some quick tips to recording your #WhyDublin video: 
  • Record your answer to one simple question: "Why Do You Love Working in Dublin?" Maybe it’s your company's culture, access to talent, Bridge Park and the North Market, our vibrant tech community, or Dublin's incredible parks. 
  • Don’t forget to share your name and the Dublin company where you work.
  • Choose a location with balanced lighting. Webcam or phone cameras tend to get grainy in low light. We suggest shooting outside or in offices with natural light (but avoid locations that are backlit). 
  • Avoid echo chambers. Sparse offices or large conference rooms can create an echo effect. If you're recording directly into the platform via your computer or phone's webcam, we suggest choosing a space with good acoustics. 
  • Choose a flattering angle.  Consider using a laptop riser or a stack of books so your recording is at eye level rather than from below. 
  • And that's it! Shoot, Share, Win!  Deadline to record and enter is 5pm on Friday, March 12, 2021.  One video entry per-person – but feel free to share the link with your coworkers to submit their own videos!

  6. Click the play button to review your video. If you are not satisfied with your recording, you can click ‘Rerecord’ and try again. If you are satisfied with your recording, click ‘Submit Video’.
  7. Accept our terms and conditions to complete submission.
